The lighter load activates fast-twitch muscle fibers, sharpens sequencing, and trains the nervous system to operate at higher speeds.

When integrated into a structured overload/underload program — especially alongside our Heavyweight Overload trainer — underload training has been shown to improve bat speed and increase exit velocity by training both force production and movement efficiency.
